SFCDMA would like to thank all those who attended the 69th Annual Gala & Awards Dinner at the Olympic Club Lakeside On May 15, 2019.

 

In particular we thank the following for making this Gala our most successful to date: San Francisco Mayor London Breed, S.F. Assessor-Recorder Carmen Chu, Senator Dianne Feinstein's State Director Jim Lazarus, Supervisors Gordon Mar, Rafael Mandelman, Sandra Lee Fewer and Ahsha Safai, San Francisco Department of Building Inspection Director Tom Hui, Small Business Commissioners Miriam Zouzounis and Stephen Adams, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce CEO Rodney Fong, State of California Treasurer Fiona Ma, SFMTA Director Ed Reiskin, SFFD Chief Jeanine Nicholson, and Retired SFFD Chief Joanne Hayes-White.

FEATURED SPEAKER

SFCDMA is thrilled to announce that this year's Featured Speaker at the 2019 Gala Celebration and Awards Dinner will be San Francisco Mayor London Breed.

Mayor Breed is the 45th Mayor of San Francisco and the first black woman and second woman overall to be elected mayor of the city, after winning the Mayoral Special Election held in June of last year, following the death of Mayor Ed Lee in December 2017.

GUEST SPEAKER

Carmen Chu has been the Assessor-Recorder has for the City and County of San Francisco since 2013. Chu is currently one of the two women elected to a citywide office out of seven citywide positions. She is also the only Asian-American Assessor elected to serve among the 58 counties in the State of California.

Prior to being elected Assessor-Recorder, Chu served as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

BOB SARLATTE

GALA MC & AUCTIONEER

Bob Sarlatte is a San Francisco-based, nationally known commercial actor, radio and television personality, comedian and speaker.

His numerous network television credits began with his stint as announcer, writer, and regular comedy contributor on the first David Letterman Show for NBC in 1980. He then went on to appear very successfully on the Late Night version of that program over twenty times, and has followed David's show with guest spots on the CBS version, The Late Show, as well.

The 2018 SFCDMA Gala was held at the Olympic Club Lakeside on Wednesday, June 13. 

 

We celebrated Legacy - the 68 Year Legacy of SFCDMA and San Francisco Legacy businesses.

Yuka Ioroi, SFCDMA Secretary, sat down for a Fireside Chat Video with San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell. William Rogers, CEO of Goodwill, was the Keynote Speaker. Cable Car Clothiers received the Legacy Business Award, and the Advocacy Award was presented to ICA Cristo Rey Academy.

The 2017 SFCDMA Gala was held at the Olympic Club Lakeside on Thursday, April 20. 

 

We celebrated the 50th Anniversary and the spirit of the Summer of Love in 1967.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, former Mayor, Willie Brown, and State Senator Mark Leno helped ensure the evening was a tremendous success.

Nikki Cooper of Two Jack's Nik's Place received the Legacy Business Award. The Advocacy Award was presented to The Renaissance Center

The 2016 SFCDMA Gala was held at the Olympic Club Lakeside on Thursday, April 7. 

 

In our second year at the Olympic Club we celebrated fresh ideas and innovation.

Our Keynote Speaker was State Assembly Member David Chiu. State Senator Mark Leno was our Guest Speaker.

Dani Sheehan-Meyer of Cliche Noe Gifts + Home received the Merchant Award. The Advocacy Award was presented to The Golden Gate Business Association.
