As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, the San Francisco Council of District Merchants Associations’ goal is to offer resources and information to keep you and those around you safe.
We recommend that you proactively let your customers know what you are doing to keep them and your staff safe. We are all one big community and viruses like COVID-19 are indiscriminate. The economic impact of COVID-19 may be substantial in the coming weeks, but there is no price point for health and safety. We all need to be good stewards of the community and it's important to get that message to our customers. Find out what assistance the City is making available to small businesses, and follow the latest and most accurate CDC information from the links below. Download our poster to help inform your customers about the measures you are taking to keep them and your staff safe.
Over the past seventy years, the Council has distinguished itself by drawing together the disparate merchants associations in the neighborhood commercial districts of the City. Together, we have advocated for street lighting, traffic control, parking, and legislation to improve the business climate in the City.
Our Association members represent a variety of local businesses, including an eclectic mix of food and drink establishments, salons, spas, boutiques, schools, business services, entertainment venues, and more. Our Mission is to protect, preserve, and promote small businesses in San Francisco.
